David M Katz, MD

David M Katz, MD is a board-certified Neurologist who completed his neurology residency at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at the University of Michigan/Kellogg Eye Center.  He is a Fellow of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS).

Neuro-Ophthalmologists diagnose and treat disorders affecting vision that typically involve the central nervous system, orbits, and optic nerves.

Not all vision problems stem from disorders of the eye.  General Neurologists often do not have the equipment and/or expertise necessary to diagnose and treat neuro-ophthalmological disorders and general ophthalmologists most often care for eye disorders such as refractive problems, glasses, glaucoma, cataracts, eye infections, retinal disorders, and trauma.
